Transcription Express, Inc. - Launch Pad
Transcription Express is a local Arizona, digital transcription company with clients in the insurance and corporate sectors. With their plans to soon add law enforcement clientele to their portfolio, they chose ROCKET MEDIA to create their new logo and business material as well as their custom website.
For this website, ROCKET MEDIA and Transcription Express worked to accomplish a design and layout that tells the story of their company and services without being too complicated. The design is clean and the lay out is self explanatory. A Content Management System (CMS) was added to make it easy for the Transcription Express staff to edit and update the site as they wish. A document processing counter was added to the home page on the right hand side as a continual counting visual.

Renovated Website Gets Chamber Up To Speed
The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce’s website was originally designed by ROCKET MEDIA in 2004. This year, ROCKET MEDIA continued their donated gift of technology by upgrading the site to enhance the usability for both site visitors and Chamber staff.
ROCKET MEDIA engineered the site to speed up load time and integrated a content management system for better content control and optimization. In order to optimize the website, ROCKET MEDIA enabled blogging and news systems that the Chamber can keep up to date with event promotions, news announcements and valuable business information.

Expression Engine Pro Network
A Content Management System (CMS) is an application that is sewn into websites that allows the website owner to login to the back end of their website in order to make changes and updates. With a CMS, the owner of the site may add pages, add pictures, updates content, the list is never ending. The draw to a CMS is that the backend is in a format that, even people who can’t write or read code can use. This WYSIWYG editor makes updating a website as easy as writing documents in Word.
On the web, there are many different flavors of content management systems. ROCKET MEDIA works with many different CMS solutions and recently was declared a Pro in one flavor: Expression Engine. Expression Engine is a .php solution that ROCKET MEDIA generally recommends to clients needing a CMS solution. Although ROCKET MEDIA can work with any format/platform, Expression Engine is the favorite. Being declared an Pro means that ROCKET MEDIA is now listed on the Expression Engine website as a recommended firm.

2008 Christmas In July Food Drive
UNITED FOOD BANK - 2008, 2nd Annual Christmas in July, Chamber Challenge Food Drive
As a member of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce, ROCKET MEDIA participated in the food drive and collected 61 pounds of food, which translates into 47 meals that will go to those who are hungry in our community. Quite a bit for our small office.
The United Food Bank sent a thank you note stating,
“Donations such as yours exemplify the spirit of community participation and “Neighbors Helping Neighbors”. Your efforts in planning and collecting food greatly enhanced our ability to distribute that food to over 230 agencies. We are honored to have you as a community partner.”
The United Food Bank encourages all business and organization members of the community to coordinate individual food drives on any occasion. Their “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” food drives are donated to Eastern Maricopa, Pinal, Gila, Apache, and Navajo Counties.

Air Quality’s One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning is your “on-time” heating and air conditioning company in Ontario. ROCKET MEDIA worked with this client to produce an easy to navigate website solution that will ultimately produce greater results.
Air Quality’s One Hour promises their customers “Always on time… or you don’t pay a dime”. The trustworthy and reliable nature of their business, allows them to do flat rate pricing and maintenance agreement purchases online – requiring ROCKET MEDIA to take their site to the next level with an Ecommerce function. To add to the easy usability of the new site, Air Quality’s One Hour wanted to allow site visitors to be able to view and print coupons for their services.
ROCKET MEDIA optimized this site with many landing pages and topics that potential clients will be inquiring about. To stay on top of their new site’s optimization, Air Quality’s One Hour purchased the ROCKET Analytics – Voice and Web system. Ackerman Security is a Georgia based security company that provides monitoring system installation as well as other security products to residential, small business and commercial clients.
Ackerman Security selected ROCKET MEDIA for their custom website design. They wanted a design that kept their services simple and to the point while still optimizing the website with text and calls to action. The main point Ackerman Security wanted to get across to site viewers is that they service residential, small business and commercial clients and for each client type they offer beneficial service systems and products. On their site they highlight each client type and offer special promotions and technology updates for viewers to keep up to date with.

A new site launch! FixitRus is a Florida based professional handyman, maintenance and remodeling company. FixitRus puts the “professional” into handyman services. They are a licensed and insured general contractor providing customers with the protection they require and peace of mind that work being done around their home is done right.
In their quest for “professionalism”, FixitRus chose ROCKET MEDIA to create their online look and feel.
The goal of this site design is to have many calls to action so that the consumer will know where to go to get the answer to their questions weather it be a question answered in text content on the site or an avenue for the consumer to make contact in order to receive a reply. Another main point for ROCKET MEDIA’s web designers to meet was the need to define categories of jobs that FixitRus customers would be looking for and that FixitRus provides. To solve this request, icons are used at the top of the home page as buttons to visually show the potential customer the categories FixitRus can help with. ROCKET MEDIA created the category pages to also help optimize the site and make it easy for FixitRus to transition well into a Pay-Per Click, Search Engine Marketing campaign.

Nelson Glass is a valley-wide repair and installment company. Originally serving the auto glass replacement needs of customers, Nelson Glass has expanded its services to include residential and commercial glass replacement, initial installment, mirrors, table tops, shower enclosures, wardrobe doors and much more. They pride their work on quality products, above par service, fair and honest prices and employment of qualified personnel committed to the company’s same values.
In their commitment to quality, Nelson Glass partnered with ROCKET MEDIA to re-design their website. The goal in this project was to give Nelson Glass the the look that matches their standards as well as speaks to what they do. In building this site, ROCKET MEDIA’s designers were asked to optimize the site with landing pages relevant to what potential clients would search for and, clear, calls to action for potential clients to use. The optimization was valued in this project so that, when ready, Nelson Glass would be able to take the next step in their Internet Marketing after the website project was completed. Top Direct Marketing Firm Recognition - 2008
The Phoenix Business Journal’s, The List, ranking for The Top 2008 Direct Marketing Firms, includes ROCKET MEDIA. This is a new list targeting Maricopa County firms that market directly to consumers on behalf of a client, or in a way that consumer response may be directly measured. The survey is ranked by 2007 billings for direct marketing services. ROCKET MEDIA ranked 11th for this category. The paper published this list in the Friday, June 20 edition on page 17.

Wednesday, June 18th, the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce held their 2nd Annual Awards Luncheon at the Val Vista Lakes Community Clubhouse. Throughout the luncheon, seven awards were given to individual businesses for: Rookie of the Year, Ambassadors of the Year, Gilbert Leadership Award, Wellness in the Workplace, Employer of Choice, Business of the Year and Family Business of the Year.
ROCKET MEDIA was honored with the award for the 2008 Family Business of the Year. Special Guest Emcee, Channel 12’s, Brahm Resnik, presented the award by explaining the following:

Stanius Johnson Architects (SJA) - Launch Pad
Stanius Johnson Architects (SJA), a Minnesota-based architecture firm serving the upper Midwest area. SJA has earned a reputation for excellence in design, preparation of construction documents and construction administration.
SJA initially partnered with ROCKET MEDIA back in August 2006 for the re-design of their company website. After achieving a successful completion with the re-design, the partnership was recently revisited with the goal of implementing a site-wide content management system (CMS). SJA identified the need to easily update contact information for locations, news/awards and service offerings on their site. They also requested an extensive portfolio management update for clients and visitors to view.
The updated SJA website was launched on May 29, 2008. The new Content Management System has enabled the staff of SJA to now add more pages to their site without having to know a code language. The gallery has an unlimited availability for adding projects to their portfolio and overall the website is now much easier to navigate and search engine friendly.

ROCKET MEDIA partnered with Arizona based client, Desert Oncology Associates in the development of their recently launched website solution. Desert Oncology has been the East Valley’s leader in the fight against blood diseases since 1978.
Desert Oncology is a clinic that conducts their health care through focus on the body, mind and spirit. Their staff is top notch and their experienced physicians include : Harrison J. Bachrach, M.D., Ahsan M. Basha, M.D., Jack R. Cavalcant, M.D., Marvin M. Chassin, M.D., Howard J. Gold, M.D., Michael M. Long, M.D., Christopher M. Manus, M.D., Clayton R. Polowy, M.D. and Jon P. Rubach, M.D.. Desert Oncology’s new website solution was launched May 28, 2008.
The goal for the website was to provide information and support resources for their patients. A dynamic content management system (CMS) was implemented for the development of this project. The CMS solution allows the clinic staff to update news and event content details as needed. Enabling the staff to interact and maintain the website content will ensure update and correct content, truly a web 2.0 solution.
In addition to the custom website, ROCKET MEDIA was commissioned to create a new brand identity for Desert Oncology. ROCKET MEDIA’s design team made sure the logo and website design all correlated, projecting a professional brand that also reflected the local Arizona environment. Keep Phoenix Beautiful - Launch Pad
ROCKET MEDIA has been working with the non-profit organization, Keep Phoenix Beautiful, to create a custom website design that suits the purpose of their organization. The site launched May 12th 2008. This custom site was created in order to involve and educate residents of Phoenix about recycling management and beautification practices.
ROCKET MEDIA designed this site with bright, bold colors and the desert scenery to remind viewers and exemplify a beautiful Phoenix. This site is filled with a wealth of information from how to get involved in events to simple things like toner cartridge and paper recycling. To make this site more user friendly, ROCKET MEDIA installed a Content Management System (CMS) onto the back end of the site. This CMS application allows Keep Phoenix Beautiful staff to login to their website back end via web browser to make changes to their site, add pictures to their gallery and update events on their calendar. Junior Achievement Volunteer
ROCKET MEDIA recognizes that involvement and giving back to the community is important. That is why Laura Kalkman, Director of Marketing, was asked to give time during the workday to participate in the Junior Achievement program.
Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential.
Laura volunteered her time in Mrs. Weather’s 4th grade classroom at Galveston Elementary in Chandler, Arizona. There, Laura spent one hour, every Tuesday morning, teaching a lesson plan to the class for six weeks. Junior Achievement provides volunteers with a book of lesson plans for the volunteers to follow, which introduces the children to beginning ideas of business and economics.
The following are the concepts Laura taught to the class.
Concepts: Advantage, Business, Choices, Compass rose, Decision, Disadvantage, Economy, Exchange, Expenses, Financial report, Goods, Government, Incentives, Income, Interdependence, Investment, Loss, Opportunity cost, Products, Profit, Region, Resources, Risk, Scarcity, Services, Specialization, and Taxes.
Laura’s Comments:
“The whole idea of this program was intimidating when I first considered participating. I was very nervous about getting in front of a class of fourth graders and teaching them ideas of business. I didn’t go to school to teach. Luckily Junior Achievement made it very easy for me to get in there and teach with the training tips and lesson plans they provided.
Mrs. Weathers’s class was great! The kids treated me with respect and were great listeners. On my last day, I was kind of bummed that I wasn’t going to be hanging out with them anymore, but I hope what I taught sticks with them. I think my main goal in this volunteer program was to make it effective and actually get the message through to the kids that they can do anything in life as long as they work hard and dream big.”
